    Net migration remains high - despite a record number of Kiwis leaving the country


    Latest figures from Stats NZ show more than 130-thousand people moved out of the country in the year to April -- the highest ever seen.

    Populations insights and indicators manager Tehseen Islam says we've seen a net migration gain of over 98-thousand people.

    He says it's been driven by almost 230-thousand migrant arrivals.
