Kiwi Olympic champion Eric Murray's spoken about a tipping point for Olivia Podmore - in the weeks before her death

Kiwi Olympic champion Eric Murray's spoken about a tipping point for Olivia Podmore - in the weeks before her death

The Rio Olympian died in 2021, and an investigation revealed cultural and structural issues at Cycling New Zealand.

    Murray mentored Podmore.

The Herald's Tom Dillane says Murray outlined how she struggled with watching the Tokyo Olympic Games, after her experiences in the selection process.

He says Murray also touched on the fact a teammate medalled in Podmore's specialist events, and that her ex-boyfriend won gold in the rowing.
