Auckland police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing more than a thousand dollars worth of meat

Auckland police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing more than a thousand dollars worth of meat

Two men were spotted walking out of a supermarket on Mount Wellington Highway with a trolley of meat products just before 7 last night.

They fled from Police in a waiting vehicle - a pursuit was abandoned due to dangerous driving.

One of the occupants and the vehicle were later located - along with a large amount of meat.

A 40-year-old man is due to appear in court facing multiple shoplifting charges.
