    One person has died following a two-vehicle crash outside Hawke's Bay's Takapau


    Police say were alerted to the crash on State Highway 2 at about 8:10 this morning.

    They say the person died at the scene.

    The road will be closed for most of the day, with detours in place via State Highway 50.
