Investigators are seeking the public's help as part of a Wellington homicide investigation

Investigators are seeking the public's help as part of a Wellington homicide investigation

Police believe Rau Tongia died around 4:30am on Sunday December 20 at a Percy Dyett Drive property in Karori.

They were notified about four hours later that his body had been found.

Police have spoken to the owner of a silver Nissan Dualis -- which was seen on CCTV leaving the street.

They are now on the lookout for a dark coloured small hatchback type car -- also seen in the Karori Central Business District heading towards Wellington city.

The investigation team would like to speak to anyone who has any information about either car -- which were driving in convoy on Karori Road at around quarter to five.
