Noddy Holder has received the coronavirus vaccine

Suzan Holder, the wife of the 74-year-old musician, has taken to Twitter to reveal that the singer has been given his vaccination by the NHS

Suzan posted a photo of Noddy receiving the jab and captioned the image: "So here it is ...[winking face, syringe and thumbs-up emojis] (sic)"

In the image, Noddy - who is best known for starring in Slade - is also seen holding a guide for adults who have received the vaccination.

The singer previously admitted that getting the jab was one of his Christmas wishes.

The former Slade frontman referenced the band's festive classic 'Merry Xmas Everybody' and called for a positive development in the UK's coronavirus fight.

He said prior to Christmas: "As with everyone else, we can only ‘Look to the future now’.

“The best Christmas present any of us could get this year is a vaccine for this crazy virus."

Noddy also revealed he had started "playing guitar again" and was thinking about a big comeback in the music business.

He explained: "I have a stockpile written over the years.

"I didn't just stop, bang, and that was the end of the story. I still have moments when I get the inspiration. But I couldn't do it night after night, year after year."

Noddy quit Slade in 1992, and hasn't made a solo record or hit the road since.

But in spite of the pandemic, Noddy suggested he could still make a return to the music scene.

Asked about the possibility, he replied: "Well, never say never - I might do it now. If they ever let me out of the house.

"I'm brushing up on my guitar technique, going back to my roots."
