Ellesse Andrews has progressed through to the last1 6in the women's track cycling sprint, with victory over her Australian opponent in her heat

The silver medallist in the keirin has won by point 2-5-5 of a second.
Andrews' next opponent is yet to be determined with the last 16 heats beginning just after 9pm.
During her opening ride in the sprint Andrews seta new Olympic record which was later broken.
Shortly Rushlee Buchanan and Jessie Hodges compete in the women's madison final.
That one's due to get underway in 10 minutes.
