A person's in a serious condition and undergoing surgery after an incident in South Auckland

Police were called to a disorder event in Otahuhu during the afternoon, and found two injured men in a vehicle.

They were taken to Auckland Hospital, one with serious injuries and one with minor injuries.

Two more men then turned up with injuries at Middlemore Hospital, and police believe they were involved in the same incident.

Detective Inspector Chris Barry says no arrests have been made yet, but officers have been talking to people in the area.

He says it appears to be isolated and there's nothing to suggest it's connected to recent gang tensions.
