Questions are being raised around how long Covid-19 antibodies last

Questions are being raised around how long Covid-19 antibodies last

A team from Otago University, Christchurch has secured government funds to study how many New Zealanders have been exposed to the virus, and how long antibodies may stay in their body.

They'll also look at the effects of the disease on the heart.

Professor Chris Pemberton says currently the long term effects post-Covid are unknown.

He says this study will provide data that can help inform a national strategy.
