A Covid-19 case has been linked to evening events at Auckland's Aotea Centre

A Covid-19 case has been linked to evening events at Auckland's Aotea Centre

Auckland Live CBD venues and the Royal New Zealand Ballet are locations of interest, specifically on Saturday, August 14, between 7 and 11pm.

Everyone who attended events there on this night should call Healthline, go for a Covid-19 test and follow official advice.

Auckland Live and Conventions hosted The University of Auckland Waiparuru and Whitaker Halls Ball in the Hunua Rooms.

At the same time there was a Royal New Zealand Ballet performance in the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, and Pork and Poll Taxes, a theatre production by independent companies Proudly Asian Theatre and Hand Pulled Collective was on in the Herald Theatre.

A student who attended the ball has tested positive for Covid-19.

While the Hunua room is the area with the highest risk, patrons for all the events could have mingled in foyer spaces, the Civic Carpark, or Terrace Café.
