A Department of Conservation campsite in Northland could be the region's latest location of interest

A Department of Conservation campsite in Northland could be the region's latest location of interest

The region's in level three after a Covid-19 positive woman crossed the border with a false exemption.

The Uretiti Beach DOC campsite onsite manager Steve Farrow told the Herald he's been told by the Northland District Health Board the area's linked to the infected person.

Northland DHB and the Ministry of Health have been approached for comment.

It is believed the woman who was travelling with the Covid positive case was at the campsite between October 3 and 5.

Roughly 40 campers are in lockdown at the site.

Farrow says most people are comfortable and can sustain themselves for a few days.
