A stage win to savour for Invercargill rider Josh Burnett on cycling's Tour of Southland

Burnett has claimed stage four from Mossburn to the top of the Remarkables, riding New Zealand's biggest stage race for the first time.

And he's thrilled to edge two time winner and current leader Michael Vink into second on the climb to the finish.

Vink has extended his overall lead to one minute 43.
