A starting spot in the Blues midfield beckons for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in Super Rugby Pacific

The former Warriors skipper is the biggest addition to the Blues' 2022 roster, and has been listed as a midfielder alongside the likes of Rieko Ioane and Tanielu Tele'a .

Coach Leon MacDonald says the plan for Tuivasa-Sheck was to train on the wing for Auckland in the NPC, but it didn't take him long to adjust.

Meanwhile, Chiefs coach Clayton McMillan believes his side's depth at lock is an area they could have an edge on other teams next season.

Test stalwart Brodie Retallick returns for the first time since the 2019, season joining young All Blacks Tupou Vaa'i and Josh Lord.

A new Athlete Commission at Drug Free Sport New Zealand has been launched to help educate as many athletes as possible on how to stay clean.

The group features past and present sportspeople, including skier Adam Hall and former Black Stick Shea McAleese.
