A homicide investigation is underway after a man involved in an incident at the velodrome died in Middlemore Hospital early this morning.
This afternoon, police and forensic officers have been scouring the area, and the Manukau Sports Bowl's cordoned off to the public.
Kam Singh, who lives across the street, says he complained to police about "rowdy parties" at the velodrome before the pandemic.
He says people blasted music through the night, and there was often shouting and fights.
