    The race to join men's National Basketball League leaders Nelson at the top of the table is intensifying


    Taranaki moved into second, above Auckland, with their 98-73 defeat of Otago in Dunedin.

    But the Tuatara secured their own road win 89-68 over Franklin in the Auckland derby at Pukekohe, to reclaim the spot.

    In the women's Tauihi league, the last-placed Hoiho posted their first win, beating the second-placed Whai 60-52 in Dunedin.
