More than 13 million dollars is being put towards fixing flood damaged roads on the West Coast

More than 13 million dollars is being put towards fixing flood damaged roads on the West Coast

Buller District Council has received funding from Waka Kotahi to repair roads damaged by the severe weather event in February.

The council has already received 1.5 million for emergency repairs.

Infrastructure delivery manager Eric de Boer says repairs range from extensive road reinstatement to minor clean up works.

He says the remedial work is expected to take up to 24 months to complete, as the damage is significant.
