Christchurch City Council is set to consider partially selling some of its assets

Christchurch City Council is set to consider partially selling some of its assets

An independent review recommends the council decrease its ownership in assets including Christchurch Airport, Lyttelton Port and power distribution company Orion.

It claims the investment arm Christchurch City Holdings Limited is significantly under-utilised.

But one council member Sam MacDonald, says people should be reassured the council isn't planning on selling everything.

He says there's no appetite for that from the council or the community.
