    A man is due in court today over an aggravated robbery in Palmerston North

    A man is due in court today over an aggravated robbery in Palmerston North


    Police were called to a commercial premises on Rangitikei Street about 10am yesterday, after a man presented a weapon and took money from the store, before fleeing.

    The alleged offender was found in a nearby street.

    Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thompson says it's always concerning when this type of offending occurs during the day, and when the public is so close.

    The 49-year-old man is due to appear in Palmerston North District Court today.
