Skydive Auckland and its director Tony Green are facing criminal charges in connection with the death of a British skydiver

Skydive Auckland and its director Tony Green are facing criminal charges in connection with the death of a British skydiver

Sarah-Jane Bayram died just over a year ago, after a catastrophic mid-air collision over Muriwai.

She'd been blown more than one kilometre out to sea from the West Auckland beach.

The 43-year-old had expressed concern about the wind conditions shortly before boarding the Skydive Auckland flight at Parakai.

Two others declined to take part in the jump for similar reasons.

The Civil Aviation Authority has filed two charges against Skydive Auckland, and two against Tony Green.

The charges were laid under the Health and Safety at Work Act, and Civil Aviation Act.
