House prices continue to fall in most centres but they aren't expected to fall much further

The latest Oneroof Property Index shows average national prices fell 1.9 percent in the three months to July.

Taranaki, Southland, and the West Coast were the only regions which saw increases.

Oneroof Editor Owen Vaughn says there's likely to be a turnaround from falling prices soon.

He says buyers are coming back into the market and are ready to pounce on any decent properties.
