Hallelujah - is the response from the tourism sector following news our final Covid restrictions have been scrapped

Hallelujah - is the response from the tourism sector following news our final Covid restrictions have been scrapped

Seven day isolation periods and masks in health settings were included in the restrictions officially dropped at midnight last night.

Tourism Export Council Chief Executive Lynda Keene says it's a huge relief, as the threat of a seven day hotel isolation impacted whether people decided to visit.

She says restrictions would have ideally been lifted earlier, but they are glad to finally get back to doing what they do best.
