    One person is in a critical condition after a building fire in Southland


    Emergency services were notified of the fire at Longbush, north of Invercargill, just before 8am.

    Fire and Emergency Shift Manager Ryan Dawson says the blaze is contained but two units are still dampening down hotspots.

    He says a fire investigator's working to determine the cause.
