As Covid-19 declines other respiratory diseases are showing up in our hospitals

As Covid-19 declines other respiratory diseases are showing up in our hospitals

Influenza A and B and swine flu have returned after not being in the country for a few years.

National Influenza Centre Director Dr Sue Huang says they're especially affecting the usual at risk groups like very young people and Maori and Pasifika.

She says it is worth keeping up habits like staying away from others when sick.

Huang says this would reduce the number of infections within our vulnerable community.
