The partner of a New Zealand-born London Police officer - Matt Ratana - shot by a man in custody - says he was let down by a shoddy performance by the UK Metropolitan Police

The partner of a New Zealand-born London Police officer - Matt Ratana - shot by a man in custody - says he was let down by a shoddy performance by the UK Metropolitan Police

A coroner's ruled he was unlawfully killed after officers didn't properly search of an arrested man in September 2020.

The 26-year-old then opened fire with an antique revolver he had in an underarm holster.

The BBC reports's Su Bushby says she's been left devastated, and if people had done their job properly, Ratana would still be alive.
