Rising demand for office space in central Auckland -- as workers return to the office after Covid-19

Rising demand for office space in central Auckland -- as workers return to the office after Covid-19

Latest figures from JLL Real Estate show commercial vacancy rates in the central city have dropped 7.3 percent in the year to date.

Nine of the city's 26 office towers are now completely full.

JLL Head of Research Gavin Read says while rents are rising, high-end offerings are drawing a lot of demand.

He says when some of the prime spaces have come up, they've seen more than one occupier very interested in trying to take it.
