Kerry Katona was left feeling "emotional" after one of her old friends died

The 43-year-old star revealed that someone she hadn't spoken to in a while had suddenly passed away and explained that the tragedy had "put things into perspective" for her and it prompted her to get in touch with other people she needed to catch up with

Writing in her new! magazine, she said: "I was upset this week as I found out an old friend had passed away, it made me emotional. We hadn't spoken in a while and it put things into perspective for me so I reached out to some other pals to catch up."

Meanwhile, the former Atomic Kitten singer - who was initially married to Westlife singer Brian McFadden from 2002 until 2006 and has Molly, 22, and 20-year-old Lilly-Sue with him but went on to have Heidi, 16, and Max, 15, with second husband Mark Croft and also has nine-year-old daughter DJ with the late George Kay - is currently rehearsing to play the Wicked Queen in a pantomime production of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs', with her daughter Lilly-Sue in the title role.

But Kerry also revealed that she is planning for her youngest daughter to take part in shows as well.

She said: "Me and Lilly have started rehearsals for 'Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs' at the Marine Hall in Ellesmere Port this week. We've been learning our lines and I'm so lucky that I get to work with my family. I'm currently getting DJ's performance license sorted so that she can be part of shows too.

"Rehearsals aren't too far from our house so I think I'll just be back and forth from home.

I'm really excited about it, the script is so funny. It's for children but there are loads of jokes in there for adults too. It's an all-around family affair!"
