A scene guard remains in place after an unexplained death in an Auckland park overnight

Officers are blocking Beauchamp Drive in Massey, after being called to Royal Reserve shortly after midnight where a person was found unresponsive.

Ambulance staff attended but the person died at the scene.

Not long afterwards, police attended a nearby address, which adjoins the park, and arrested several people.

It's not clear if the two incidents are linked.
