An Auckland Councillor says a "car only" attitude towards transport seems to be shifting

Transport and Infrastructure Committee Deputy Chair Christine Fletcher says she's looking forward to overcoming challenges this year.

She says progress on " time of use" charging and working out costings on the City Rail Link will be key focuses this year.

Fletcher hopes cancelled projects like Light Rail won't be for nothing.

Fletcher wants ideas discovered during research for those projects to improve the transport system.
