NBA great Shaquille O'Neal will be the first player in the history of the Orlando Magic to have his jersey number retired

NBA great Shaquille O'Neal will be the first player in the history of the Orlando Magic to have his jersey number retired

Known worldwide as "Shaq", O'Neal was drafted with the number one pick by the Magic in 1992.

He went on to play there for four seasons, leading the team to the NBA Finals during the 1994-95 season.

This will mark the third NBA team that has retired his number, after the Lakers retired his 34 jersey after he won two NBA titles with the team and the Miami Heat retired his 32 jersey after he won one NBA title there.

O'Neal's jersey will be retired on February 14.
