Stats NZ will release its latest quarterly inflation numbers at 10.45 this morning.
They're expected to show the annual inflation rate has fallen below the five-percent forecast of the Reserve Bank.
Jarden economist John Carran, Kiwibank economist Jarrod Kerr and ANZ economist Henry Russell have each told NewstalkZB this morning, several factors are driving down the inflation rate.
The cost of labour, shipping, petrol, food and some goods have dropped, and economy is starting to weaken.
