A huge chance for Wellington Phoenix women's goalkeeper Brianna Edwards to press for a long-term spot in-between the sticks

The 21-year-old is in her third season with the club and will step in for the suspended Rylee Foster in Newcastle this afternoon.

Coach Paul Temple says it's an opportunity for Edwards to potentially keep the number 1 spot beyond this weekend.

    Kick off's at 5pm.
