Another Kane Williamson milestone has completed a dominant third day of the opening cricket test for New Zealand over South Africa at Mount Maunganui

Another Kane Williamson milestone has completed a dominant third day of the opening cricket test for New Zealand over South Africa at Mount Maunganui

He has joined Glenn Turner, Geoff Howarth, Andrew Jones and Peter Fulton among compatriots to score centuries in both innings of a test.

Williamson was eventually stumped for 109, making a match aggregate of 227.

The Black Caps are 179 for four at stumps, extending their lead to 528 with the assumption of a declaration overnight.

Proteas batter Keegan Petersen has given his assessment.

The hosts opted to bat again rather than enforce the follow-on after dismissing the visitors for 162.

Spinner Mitchell Santner took career-best innings figures of three for 34 from 21 overs.
