Four men have been charged, following a Palestine Solidarity Network protest at Lyttelton

Four men have been charged, following a Palestine Solidarity Network protest at Lyttelton

The group allegedly blocked the Lyttelton Tunnel yesterday afternoon, and poured red liquid on the road.

A Police spokesperson says a handful of people failed to comply with requests to move, while the group claims Police acted aggressively.

Four men - aged 37, 39, 57 and 70 - have been charged with obstructing a public place, resisting police and assaulting police.

The 39-year-old's due to appear in Christchurch District Court on Friday and the remaining three on Monday.
