Manual cars will still be around for years to come despite suggestions new models will soon stop

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders says its research reveals 2029 would be the last year manual cars are produced.
The number of manuals for sale has halved in the past six years.
Automobile Association Commercial General Manager, Roger Venn, says the legacy will remain much longer.
He says around 15 percent of New Zealand cars are currently manual.
