Brody Jenner has hailed his fiancee his "saviour"

The 40-year-old reality star couldn't be happier with partner Tiarah 'Tia' Blanco - with whom he has 12-month-old daughter Honey - and feels he"got lucky" when it came to starting a family with the 27-year-old surfer.

Brody - who was previously married to Kaitlynn Carter - gushed to People magazine: "I got really lucky in that regard. "Tia has just been my saviour. She's just such an incredible mom and partner, so I got really lucky with her for sure. I'm glad that I held out and waited and was able to find the right person to start a family with." Brody was hesitant about having children because his friends had made him concerned that parenthood would be "hard" and raising a child would be "tough" on his relationship. He admitted: "I think that I had a lot of friends that sort of influenced me to think that it was a lot harder than it is. "I didn't have very many friends around me that were loving their relationships. They sort of were like, 'Oh, this is so tough, and it's even harder with a kid.' "So I think that influenced a lot of my decision-making. I didn't have that many people just saying, 'Parenthood is the best thing ever.' "But it is the best thing ever. The former 'Hills' star couldn't be happier with the "new chapter" in his life. He gushed: "I'm really enjoying fatherhood. I feel like it's just a new chapter, and Tia is amazing. She's just been an incredible mother. I know how lucky I am. Becoming a parent is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done in my life." And he and Tia are already discussing having another baby - with Brody particularly keen to have a second daughter. He said: "I had no idea how much I would enjoy it. At first I thought maybe I want a boy to carry the name, all that stuff, and then when it was a girl, I don't know what it is, but I could have 10 more girls. "I know Tia wants a boy next. I love being a girl dad. That relationship between the father and the daughter ... it's just incredible."
