Baby Reindeer, The Bear, Shogun draw first wins in Emmys battle with Creative Arts nods

The Drag Race host is upstaged, Ryan Gosling is overlooked and Beckham scores as Emmys powerhouses flex at the Creative Arts ceremony.

TV powerhouses The Bear, Shogun and Baby Reindeer have scored key wins at the Creative Arts Emmy awards, sending a message ahead of the main event next week.

The shows prevailed in stacked guest acting categories and casting categories. Michaela Coel disrupted their sweep with a win for her guest spot in Mr. & Mrs Smith.

Earlier, RuPaul's eight-year streak in the hosting category came to an abrupt end, while Beckham took out its documentary category. And there was no love for Ryan Gosling as Saturday Night Live host, but his episode was recognised with production gongs.
