Three arrests linked to a large cocaine import is being dubbed a major win for cross-agency partnerships

Three arrests linked to a large cocaine import is being dubbed a major win for cross-agency partnerships

Three people are due back in Tauranga District Court next week, linked with the largest cocaine shipment to ever reach New Zealand shores.

A boat from Ecuador carried 725 kilograms of coke into the Port of Tauranga - in early 2022.

Customs Acting Manager of Investigation Nigel Barnes says the work with Police has proven to have long-term benefits.

He says the seizure has provided intelligence which is still being used today.
