Cheryl has reportedly been stalked by a convicted killer

The singer, 41, is grief-stricken after the death of former partner Liam Payne, with whom she had son Bear, seven, and it has now been revealed she has also secretly been battling a scare inflicted by an obsessed fan.

According to court documents obtained by The Sun, Daniel Bannister, 49, who has no fixed address, was said to have breached a restraining order by visiting Cheryl's country mansion in Buckinghamshire where she lives with her young boy.

Bannister killed a man in an attack at a homeless hostel.

The Sun reported he was sent to prison for manslaughter for 30 months after he attacked a man who died from his injuries in 2012.

It added Bannister was put behind bars for four months in September for an offence in July and handed a three-year restraining order.

The ban meant he was not meant to contact Cheryl, enter Buckinghamshire or attend her address.

But in December he is alleged to have returned to her house in the country she shares with Bear, where Cheryl has been recovering after her ex Liam died aged 31 when he plunged to his death from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Argentina after a drink and drugs binge.

The alleged offence came weeks after Liam's funeral.

Bannister, who has no fixed address, has been charged with breaching his restraining order by entering the county of Buckinghamshire on December 10.

He is then said to have turned up at "an address where you knew or believed Cheryl Tweedy was present" in another separate breach of the order against him.

Bannister also attempted to contact Cheryl either directly or indirectly, which he was prohibited from doing.

The Sun said Bannister has pleaded guilty to the three offences in December and has been sent back to prison before his sentencing on January 30.

It added he had been found to be "displaying fixated, obsessive, unwanted and repetitive behaviour" towards Cheryl which he knew would cause her distress.
