Paris Hilton's foster dog is "sliving her best life" after she rescued the pooch amid the Los Angeles wildfires

The 43-year-old socialite opened up her home to Chihuahua mix Zuzu, who was being cared for at the Pasadena Humane Society after her owners lost their homes in the devastating blazes and she fitted in so well to their household, she's going to stay permanently

The hotel heiress - who invented the phrase "sliving", a combination of the words "slaying" and "living" - has since taken to Instagram to share a sweet video of the pair driving through Beverly Hills with the wind in Zuzu's ears and admitted they have "all fallen in love with her".

Paris - who has Phoenix, two, and London, 14 months, with husband Carter Reum - captioned the Instagram clip soundtracked by Weezer's hit 'Beverly Hills': "Zuzu is #Sliving her best life @hiltonpets.

"So grateful to have met this angel at @pasadenahumane.

We have all fallen in love with her.

"To all the LA animal lovers out there, please reach out to them if you can- there are so many adorable animals in need of a loving home!"

She wrote across the clip: "POV: Your new foster mom is Paris Hilton and the main character's energy is kicking in."

Paris - whose Malibu beach house was destroyed in the wildfires - continues to call on others to help care for animals displaced as a result of the fires.

She had told TMZ: "To everyone who can connect with the Humane Society in Pasadena, there's animal shelters all over to volunteer, to foster and fall in love with these animals who are so beautiful, they deserve homes and everyone can do their part in some way."

The former 'Simple Life' star also declined to give a definite answer when asked if she plans to rebuild her home.

She said: "Carter will be dealing with all that."

It seems the efforts to contain the fires have made an impression on Paris' young son.

Speaking to the outlet with Phoenix in her arms, she was asked what the little boy wants to be when he grows up and replied: "He wants to be a fireman."
