Ariana Grande threw a lavish party for her team to celebrate her Oscar nomination

The 31-year-old star was recently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Glinda in 'Wicked', and Ariana celebrated the achievement by hiring The Aubrey, an upmarket Japanese restaurant in London

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Ariana is riding so high at the moment and she wanted to share the love with her team, who work so hard for her.

"She hired out The Aubrey, which is a really posh sushi restaurant, where they put on a private dining experience.

"As well as marking Ariana's Oscar nomination, it was her manager's birthday, so Ari made it a double celebration.

"She had the Ukiyo room hired just for them.

"They were served specially selected dishes like slow-cooked lobster and Wagyu with caviar.

"The drinks were flowing too, with champagne and cocktails."

Ariana footed the bill for her team, as she celebrated one of her career high points.

The insider continued: "The bill came to more than £6,000 and Ari picked up the entire tab.

"It was such a special night for them all and marked a celebration of everything Ariana and her team have achieved over the past year."

Ariana previously admitted that she's fulfilled a long-held ambition by starring in the 'Wicked' film.

The award-winning star - who is best known for her success as a musician - told Variety: "I was hunting Marc Platt down for an audition.

"As soon as I found out that it might be happening, I told my team, 'Be on high alert, please. And I know this has to be earned. So when they start seeing people, can I please go in? I'll do anything.' And I worked really hard with a vocal coach and an acting coach to get ready, because Glinda's vocal track is very different than what I usually sing."
