Nick Cannon has admitted it was "probably careless activity" that led to him fathering five children in one year

The 43-year-old TV star welcomed Legendary Love, Onyx Ice Cole, Rise Messiah, Beautiful Zeppelin, and Halo Marie with four women in 2022 alone, and has now reflected on that busy time period in his life

He told Vulture: "Okay, God, how did I have five kids in one year? Probably careless activity."

Even so, Nick didn't rule out his brood expanding further.

He said: "The world is a crazy place, I say never say 'never'!"

Nick acknowledged that his 12 children were a "by-product of his eagerness to appease the women he was dating or his single friends who wanted kids".

The Masked Singer host currently has 12 children with six women. He shares 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, and has three children with model Brittany Bell: Golden Sagon, born in February 2017; Powerful Queen, born in December 2020; and Rise Messiah, born in September 2022.

With Abby De La Rosa, he shares twin boys Zion and Zillion, born in June 2021, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, born in November 2022.

He also had two children with Alyssa Scott: son Zen, who tragically died of brain cancer at five months old in December 2021, and daughter Halo Marie, born in December 2022.

Nick welcomed son Legendary Love with model Bre Tiesi in July 2022, and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with photographer LaNisha Cole in September 2022.

Nick previously said he didn't see himself welcoming any more children.

Speaking with People, he said: "There was a point in time where I was just like, 'Nah, I'm done.' And, then I was like, 'Who am I to say that?' It seemed like it was such an emphatic thing.

"I never imagined that I would have 12 kids. So, it's one of those things where I love children. I love my life, and if it could keep going in the direction that it's going, why not?"
