The Oasis fan who fell to his death at the band's recent Wembley reunion show has been identified

He plummeted from the upper tier balcony in front of around 100,000 attendees and was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts from medics.

The cause, confirmed by police, was a fall from height consistent with a sudden accident.

Lee's death occurred at the conclusion of the gig, as fireworks were launched after Oasis had performed Champagne Supernova.

Members of his family attended the gig, though his partner Amanda and son were at home, it has emerged.

Oasis in a statement said they were "shocked and saddened" by the tragedy and extended their "sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."

Aaron Claydon, Lee's brother, has paid tribute to his tragic sibling via a fundraising page, writing alongside a picture of Lee holding huge fish: "Our family has been turned upside down and are struggling to deal with this devastation and unexpected loss."

He continued: "Lee leaves behind his son, dad, partner, brothers, sisters, nephews and niece. Lee was a loving family man who was a role model to his son Harry... Lee would have done anything for any of us." Aaron urged donations to support "Amanda and the boys" during "this very sad time."

Lee's cousin Shannon Robbie added her condolences on Facebook, saying: "My cousin Lee tragically passed away this weekend after no doubt having the time of his life at the Oasis concert... it has devastated the whole family... sharing his GoFundMe page... in the hope that any donations, big or small, will go a long way towards helping his partner Amanda and the boys."

An eyewitness told Daily Mail reporters about Lee's death: "It was horrendous. The guy fell from a balcony. Paramedics came rushing over. There was a lot of screaming and shouting... it was a big fall... it was heartbreaking. He was only young."

Another fan added: "I was directly underneath... at first I thought it was a coat falling... but then I looked and saw the bloke on the concrete. It was horrific to see."

A spokesperson for the Met Police confirmed: "At around?22:19hrs on Saturday,?2?August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded to reports that a person had been injured. A man aged in his 40s was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."

They have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Wembley Stadium added: "Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.

"Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family."

Oasis' frontman Liam Gallagher, performing at the same venue the following night, appeared to pay tribute before launching into Live Forever, saying: "This one's for all the people who can't be here tonight, but who are here if you know what I mean. And ain't they looking lovely."
