Hulk Hogan's daughter didn't attend his funeral

The wrestling legend passed away last month aged 71 and Brooke Hogan - who had been estranged from him since missing his wedding to Sky Daily in September 2023 - opted not to join his family and friends at a memorial service in Florida on Tuesday (05.08.25) because she claimed her dad "didn't want" an official end-of-life ceremony so wanted to remember him in her own way

Brooke wrote on Instagram: "My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one.

"And although I know people grieve in many ways - and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how...privately...the way that made me feel the closest to him. The only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves... and the sunset [heartbroken emoji].(sic)"

The 37-year-old reality star accompanied the post with photos of her family, including husband Steven Olesky and their seven-month-old twins Oliver and Molly, and addressed "special" Hogan directly in the rest of her message.

She wrote: "Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved. Molly loved the water. I think she'll be a "little fish" as you called me. We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you. Rest in heaven, Daddy[heart emoji.(sic)"

Brooke's mom, Linda Hogan, was among those joining the Suburban Commando star's wife Sky Daily at the funeral service at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Clearwater.

The likes of WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, former WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon, singer Kid Rock and comedian Theo Von were also in attendance for the memorial.

It is currently unclear if Linda and Hulk's son Nick Hogan, 35, was in attendance, but he has joined the WWE on two occasions since his dad's passing when they honoured the wrestler.
