A truck has collided with a freight train north of Wellington near Waikanae Station, but no one's hurt

Police were notified not long after 6am, and road closures are in place.

Metlink says services between Waikanae and Paraparaumu have been suspended, and the Capital Connection from Palmerston North is also affected.

Kiwirail says the crossing is fully protected with barrier arms, lights and bells.
