Matt Goss believes he has "done [his] best" to repair his relationship with his twin brother

He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "We're estranged, unfortunately. I love him with every fibre of my soul. But I don't want [the quest for reconciliation] or Bros to cannibalise my life. I'm in my 50s now, I want to enjoy my life and find my feet in the UK a bit more, to find my crew, my tribe...

"I would love nothing more than for Bros to have some real fun, globally. But I don't want to live my life convincing anyone of anything anymore. If you want to be part of my universe, let's crack on. If not, that's OK too.

"Literally every day, people say, 'When's it going to be you and your brother?' The Gallaghers of Pop, we were called recently.

"But I can't force that issue. I love him, and I know I'm an awesome brother, I've done things people wouldn't believe.

"I'm a really supportive, loving man. But I think if you've done your best, you've got to draw a line in the sand and move on..."

The When Will I Be Famous hitmaker is still optimistic of reconciling with Luke one day because he grieves the time they have been apart.

He said: "I have a deep sense of loss for the time I could have spent [with Luke].

"I just want to spend more time with my brother, whether it's on stage or not. I want to find a way forward. And Bros is a really exciting band to see live. I just hope that happens again."

Matt admitted he doesn't have a great relationship with any of the surviving members of his family.

He said: "Unfortunately, I don't have a very close relationship with my family. I don't really sense that they care that much for what I do. Fame is a weird thing. It does create some weird reactions."

The I Owe You Nothing hitmaker nursed his beloved mother Carol through cancer, only for her to pass away in 2014 and he admitted there was a point when he never thought he'd get over her tragic passing.

He said: "She passed very violently, I was covered in her blood when her stomach exploded out of her mouth and went all over me. I know it's a lot, but it happened to me.

"I didn't know about PTSD at the time, but afterwards, I couldn't get that image out of my head when I closed my eyes, this angelic woman in pain and then that moment.

"She was my light. For a moment, I didn't even think I could make it. But now, every day in my faith I feel observed by her and [my late sister] Carolyn, and my grandfather and nan."
