Rihanna is still trying to understand her "postpartum hair era"

The Diamonds hitmaker - who has sons RZA, three, and Riot, two, and four-month-old daughter Rocki with A$AP Rocky - has been on a "journey" with her locks so her current focus is on "nourishing" her hair and her skin as best she can after going through three pregnancies in a short space of time.

She told Elle.com: "It's been such a journey. I'm still in my postpartum hair era, so I'm trying to figure it out and just focus on nourishing my hair and my body as best I can. I'm a long hair girl right now, but let's see what tomorrow brings."

Rihanna - whose Fenty Beauty has just released a dry shampoo, The Imposter - likes to change her hair to reflect her mood.

She said: "My hair usually reflects my mood. I change my styles a lot-the color, the texture, the length-so I try to make them last.

"Dry shampoo is key in my routine and it's why we infused The Imposter with ingredients that help balance scalp odour and refresh.

"It's great for those with fine, oily hair and those who work out, too."

The 38-year-old singer hopes The Imposter proves as effective as Fenty Beauty's popular Invisimatte, an instant setting and blotting powder.

She said: "When life gets real, sometimes you gotta fake it. Sometimes that means faking a wash day. That's what inspired the name.

"You know my love for Invisimatte runs deep. We did something really special there-the way it invisibly and immediately absorbs oil, no matter your skin tone-I wanted to do the same thing for hair.

"That's why it has that same subtle lilac tint as Invisimatte, so it won't leave a white cast that so many dry shampoos do.

"The lilac tint has never been done this way for dry shampoo. We also made it a powder format, so it has none of the harmful chemicals usually found in aerosols."

And Rihanna adores the scent of her new product too.

She said: "Amber Bouquet is the signature scent of Fenty Hair. It's a blooming, bougie, warm floral. It's the scent of a good hair day."
