Saint George Illawarra's sponsor comes out swinging at NRL's treatment of Dragons in failed Israel Folau attempt

The Dragons sounded out the NRL about signing Folau, but withdrew their bid just days later following significant public backlash.

But Norm Black says the league bosses led them "down the garden path" and that anyone who thinks for a moment that the Dragons acted in a reckless or thoughtless manner when it came to looking at Folau have rocks in their head.

Black, the owner and founder of TripADeal, says he and other sponsors were consulted before the move was made public.
