    Calls for more international rugby league tests to take place during the NRL season

    The conclusion of the Pacific Championship - won by the Kiwis - means fans won't get a chance to see New Zealand, Australia, Samoa and Tonga do battle until at least October next year.

    Former Kiwis coach Sir Graham Lowe says the NRL should consider the move to mid-season tests, but adds it will be difficult given the high quality of rugby league already being played in the competition.
