Andrew Garfield stole a Spiderman costume from the set of his new movie 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'.

The 30-year-old actor - who plays the comic book hero in the new movie franchise - was forbidden from taking his character's outfit for a keepsake, but he managed to smuggle the tight jumpsuit by hiding it in his suitcase.

When asked if movie bosses allow him to keep the infamous outfits after filming, he told Scott Mills on Radio 1 on Wednesday "You know what, they don't, but I may have stolen one and it may be in my luggage, it may be in my hotel room luggage. It may even be in my back pack in the car. It's possible." However, Andrew is adamant no one will miss the costume because there are loads on set.

He explained: "There are a lot, there are about 23, 24, 25. I don't know, there are a lot of them because they are all in different states of duress and distress. But yeah, they are very snug."

The 'Social Network' star believes shooting his scenes on set is similar to dressing up on Halloween for the spooky yearly holiday occasion.

He said: "Its pretty similar to [dressing up on Halloween] to be honest. That's how I feel when I'm making these movies. I feel like I'm just on an extended Halloween. In a brilliant way, you're kind of naked."

Although his girlfriend Emma Stone, 25 - who was appearing on the breakfast show with Andrew - admitted seeing her beau in the revealing outfit took some getting used to because she kept getting "distracted"

by his muscular figure bulging out of the skin-tight suit.

She said: "The first time I saw it I was incredibly distracted but you get used to seeing a man in spandex all day."
