Ricky Martin has tied the knot with Jwan Yosef

The ‘Livin La Vida Loca’ hitmaker has confirmed he is now a married man, after exchanging vows with his partner of almost two years, and says that although no formal celebration as taken place, the pair have signed all the necessary paperwork to finalise their marriage

Speaking to E! News, he said: "I'm a husband, but we're doing a heavy party in a couple of months, I'll let you know. We exchanged vows, and we've swear everything, and we've signed all the papers that we needed to sign, prenups and everything."

Ricky, 46, and Jwan began dating in 2016 and became engaged in November the same year, with Ricky - who has eight-year-old twin sons Matteo and Valentino - confirming their intent to marry whilst on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’.

He said at the time: "We just got engaged. I’m sweating!

“I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box. I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying, 'Will you marry me?' I said, 'I got you something!' Bad. Then he was like, 'Yes.' I said, 'I want to spend my life with you,' and he was like, 'What is the question?' 'Would you marry me?' That's it.”

Although the pair are yet to hold their wedding celebrations, the party will no doubt be one to remember as Ricky previously claimed the pair are intent on having a "public" ceremony that they can "share with the world", as they want their nuptials to be a "great event”.

Ricky said: "It's going to be a great event. And people will be talking about it. We're a modern family, and I think people need to see, and I want to normalise the beauty of our family. That's why I'm making it public and I'm going to share my wedding with the world."
